Chugwater Flats Energy Project (CFEP)

CFEP was established in 2009 to develop a multi-phase wind farm near Chugwater, Wyoming.

Phase One of CFEP will consist of 143 turbines and be constructed on 3,520 acres with a name plate capacity of approximately 214.5 MW. CFEP filed its Section 109 Permit Application pursuant to the Wyoming Industrial Development and Siting Act on January 4, 2010. The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality-Industrial Siting Council approved Phase One of CFEP’s permit application for construction on March 30, 2010 pursuant to the Wyoming Industrial Development and Siting Act. CFEP is the first wind farm to be permitted in Platte County by the WDEQ-ISD.

Phase Two of CFEP will consist of 151 turbines and will be constructed on 4,524 acres with a name plate capacity of approximately 226.5 MW.
